Analytical Tests

Alcohol by Volume + Weight

This method provides you with data on the alcohol by volume (%ABV, %v/v) and weight (%w/w) using the Anton Paar Beer Alcolyzer and DMA methods.

Calories

Test the amount of calories in your product.

Color

Testing color is fundamental in the brewing process because it allows brewers to make sure that their beer is consistently the same color and that it falls within the expectation of taste for the consumer.

Gluten

Test the amount of gluten in your beverage (great for gluten free / near gluten free beers).

IBU

Testing International Bitterness Units (IBUs) in the brewing process is essential as it is a measurement of how bitter a beer is. IBU measures the bitterness of the beer by measuring for the chemicals in the beer that make it taste bitter.

pH

Testing pH is a necessity during the brewing process because it can help to recognize infections and possible harsh flavors to be seen before they are consumed and to keep the ideal conditions of ingredients consistent.

Protein

This method will provide you with data on the percent weight of protein in your beer. This information can be helpful in determining what is influencing foam retention, mouth-feel characteristics, haze, or undesirable bitterness.

VDK

Identifies two organic compounds that occur in the fermentation process that create a buttery flavor and aroma.

Follow The Emailed Shipping or Drop-off Instructions

Upon completion of your order via our eCommerce store, you will receive emailed instructions on how to send or drop off your sample for testing. Once we receive your testing sample, we begin testing and compiling our reports.

Receive Testing Results

After the indicated testing time period for your sample, we compile all of our analytical testing results into a legible format and send them to the email address provided during the checkout process.
